Career Day – #7: Apollo Astronaut Alfred Worden

Alfred Worden is a retired Air Force fighter pilot, test pilot and former NASA Astronaut. He was selected in the 1966 class of astronauts. Worden served as Command Module pilot on the 1971 Apollo 15 lunar mission, during which he orbited the moon and took a space walk a record 200,000 miles from Earth.

He joined Keith Conrad to talk about becoming an astronaut during the Apollo days, training for a mission to the Moon and also what it was like to actually fly to the Moon on Apollo 15 in 1971.

Every Wednesday Keith Conrad talks to a newsmaker about how they got where they are in the world today.
