Geek/CounterGeek – #34: Is Batman Clearly Inferior To Superman (And Iron Man)?

Elliott and Keith start off the show with some truly disturbing news: There are apparently some people out there who truly believe The Martian is based on a true story.

There’s also plenty of geek-related news this week. We learned from NYCC that Fox and Chris Carter made the wise decision to bring back the original X-Files opening for the revival. Pixar has released the schedule of all of their movie released between now and 2019. Elliott and Keith wonder if that’s a little bit of information overload for people. Also, the trailer for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies dropped this week. Keith however is still dealing with too much zombie overload to get excited about it.

Plus, Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson made some waves this week, and potentially took some of the wind out of Batman vs. Superman’s sails when he said that Superman could clearly beat Batman in a fight, and he said that Iron Man would be able to beat Batman as well. Elliott and Keith discuss.

Each week Keith Conrad and Chicago’s Top Geek Elliott Serrano debate a controversial topic in contemporary geekery: Kirk vs. Picard? Was Douglas Quaid dreaming in Total Recall? No topic is off limits.
