This week I’ve launched a new podcast called “Bringing Up The Lights.” It’s a project I’m really excited about. It’s a behind the scenes look at the people who make theatrical productions a reality. Each week is a different part of the story of the production and a look at how the people involved got to be where they are today.
For the first season of 10 episodes, I will be following the Lyric Opera of Chicago and their production of Macbeth which opens later this month.
It just so happens this is their first production since the COVID shutdown. In episode one, I talk with the team at Lyric Opera about their COVID experiences and what it’s like preparing to take the stage again after 18 months.
