Geek/CounterGeek – #19: The Greatest Cliffhanger In TV History?

Father’s Day was this weekend, so Keith Conrad and Elliott Serrano talked a little about the best and worst fathers in pop culture (It’s probably best to remove Cliff Huxtable from any “best of” lists). Darth Vader has to be the worst father in history, right?

Also, this week marked the 25th anniversary of “The Best of Both Worlds,” the cliffhanger at the end of the 3rd season of Star Trek: The Next Generation. When it aired in 1990, it marked not only the coming of age for the TNG crew at a time when Star Trek desperately need it, but it was also one of the greatest cliffhangers in television history.

Each week Keith Conrad and Chicago’s Top Geek Elliott Serrano debate a controversial topic in contemporary geekery: Kirk vs. Picard? Was Douglas Quaid dreaming in Total Recall? No topic is off limits.
